Frequently asked questions.
How do beeswax candles compare to paraffin?
Paraffin is a wax derived from petroleum oil. This is the same oil that is refined into gasoline and jet fuel. Petroleum oil is not sustainable to harvest, and is prone to pollute when burned. Paraffin purchases often funnel proceeds to large oil companies rather than local businesses.
How do we make eco-friendly candles?
It starts with an American hive of bees, tended to by vetted bee-keepers. Upon harvesting, our supplier purchases bulk beeswax, and ensures quality, then turning the wax into pellets. Shipped to us, we then add clean fragrances, and hand pour each candle at the perfect temperature. Our other supplies are as sustainable as we can find, such as cotton wicks, recycled paper labels, and minimal plastics in our packaging. We are always finding new ways to reduce, re-use, and recycle to reduce our footprint.
Do we plan on selling locally?
We currently sell our products at farmers markets in and around Vancouver, WA. We plan on expanding across Washington and perhaps further! We hope to see you soon!
Vegan options?
We are developing vegan options as an alternative to beeswax. There are several possible waxes to use and we are experimenting with what will perform the best. For updates, please visit our social media, or send us a message!
What if there is an issue with my order?
Please contact us with the details, and images if necessary of the issue. We will contact you via email and ensure you receive what you paid for in a timely manner.
